Samourai Wallet's founders are arrested

U.S. prosecutors charged the developers of a bitcoin privacy wallet with money laundering and unlicensed money transmission.

The service was non-custodial: it coordinated transactions between users without ever holding their coins. Prosecutors argued the coordination itself constituted money transmission, a reading that would reach much self-custody software.
