Central African Republic removes Bitcoin's legal-tender status

A revised cryptocurrency law removed legal-tender status and guaranteed convertibility for crypto assets in the Central African Republic.

The amendment aligned national law more closely with the CEMAC monetary union and its CFA franc framework. Cryptocurrency transactions remained possible under a narrower and still-developing legal framework.
